E-Business, the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for business operations provides the systems and processes that support the flow of information as it occurs in procurement, manufacturing, research and development, sales and services encompassing the entire value chain and the supply chain of an organization. Although E-Business has gained wide acceptance and popularity in development world, its adoption in India in general, and manufacturing sector in particular has been unexpectedly slow. The vision of E-Business Center of Excellence sponsored by MHRD is to act as the hub for research and development of E-Business especially in manufacturing and logistics. We have the mission to realize our vision through interdisciplinary research, education and consultation in the area of E-Business, manufacturing and logistics aligned with national objectives.
