SUJOY BAG

Mr Sujoy Bag has completed his MS by research degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur under the supervision of Prof. Manoj Kumar Tiwari and Prof. Sri Krishna Kumar. He has also been worked in the E-Business Center of Excellence project at the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, IIT Kharagpur from December 2014 to December 2019. The first model of his study is to develop an attribute level prediction model to predict consumer’s purchase intention and product recommendation for durable goods. The second model of his study is to develop a new relevant Jaccard similarity model for collaborative filtering to recommend appropriate items to customers. The aim of the third model of his thesis is to develop an integrated recommender system model for online companies, with the ability to provide personalized services to their customers. The fourth model of the study is to address the problems of data sparsity and the natural noise of recommender systems. Besides, he has developed a model to mitigate the demand risk of durable goods in his internship period at Heriot-Watt University Edinburgh, UK. Publications from his thesis appeared in such 4 prestigious journals (including A*) with average impact factors 4.23 (Computers & Industrial Engineering (A), Decision Support Systems (A*), Journal of Business Research (A), and Information Sciences (IF-5.524)). Till now, 7000+ scholars read his first publication “Predicting the consumer's purchase intention of durable goods: An attribute-level analysis” in Research Gate.
